Castle Way Energy: Phase 1 Engagement

Colleagues review sketches and notes at a desk with open laptops, pencils, and papers in a quiet office meeting.

We have been informed that Phase 1 Engagement for the Castle Way Energy project will run from Tuesday 16 June to Tuesday 28 July 2026.

This engagement gives local residents, consultees and community groups the opportunity to help shape the proposals while environmental and technical assessments are ongoing.

Residents are invited to provide feedback on the proposed layout of the energy park, as well as any local knowledge that may help inform the project. This could include information about nearby watercourses, roads, tracks, public rights of way, or other local features.

There is also an opportunity to help shape a proposed Legacy Fund by suggesting local groups, projects or initiatives that could benefit from future funding.

Residents should shortly receive a newsletter in the post with further details about the engagement and how to provide feedback. Further information is available on the project website:

On the Proposals tab, you can view an interactive map and project brochure.

A public webinar will also be held on:

Thursday 2 July 2026

You can register using the link below:

Feedback can be submitted through the online form on the project website or by emailing: info@castlewayenergy.co.uk

At the same time, Brockwell Energy has submitted an Environmental Impact Assessment Scoping Report to the Planning Inspectorate. Parish Councils and statutory consultees may be asked to respond separately to both the Phase 1 Engagement material and the Scoping Report, as these are separate processes with different purposes and deadlines.

Residents are encouraged to review the information and submit any comments, local knowledge or questions directly to the project team.
